13.34 miles/10:48 pace.  Wow the weather could not have been better on this Saturday!  Thank goodness, because we have been rained out for weeks (only on Sats!)

I loved every minute of this run.  I ran with my friend Christina Tyner.  We always start in a big group and pretty soon we can't even see the 6 and 7 minute milers as we jabber away.  We ran up and down rolling hills through some gorgeous spots that reminded me of Pennsylvania and France.  Green GREEN GREEN!  Gorgeous green grassy hills with the occasional horse or cow farm.   Mountains in the background.  Blue sky.  I was in heaven.

We started slowing down toward the end at a bout mile 10.  Christina's foot was bothering her.  I felt so good I wanted to speed up.  We had ruined our pace to an average of 11!  I was bound and determined to run hard enough in the last 3 miles in order to put the pace back where I was supposed to run--at 10:48.  So I got the ok from Chris and took off.  It was the coolest feeling in the world to do that strong negative split.  I felt like I had wind beneath my feet.  I don't know how fast I was going but the point was that I felt so dang good after running 10...no pains, nothing nagging...it was bless-ed!  The training really is paying off and I can tell I am getting stronger and more able to physically handle the miles.

Hallelujah!
