Recovery Week

I have been recovering this week from the weekend long race.  I decided to rest Mon, cycle Tues, rest Wed. finally run on Thurs.  I ran a fun tempo running a few miles at a 9, 8:30, and 8 min pace--I was having a ball.  It's always good to get back your running legs.  I rested again on Fri.  I meant to lift weights but goofed off instead.  On Sat, I decided to run to Riley's soccer game that was to start at 8am.  I googled it and it was 7.1 miles.  I figured I could do a few miles around the lake and then head out.  I ended up sleeping in and just running the 7.  It was almost all uphill which was great because I felt like a slacker only going 7 on a long run.  I have to say it was such a great long run.  I love stepping outside my door and running to a soccer game instead of driving!  My time was 9:55.  My smartcoach lists that I'm supposed to be at 10:20 for a long run at this point so I feel great about that.
