Easy Run 8 miles 9:16 pace--played a lot with the pace and felt awesome.
I have figured out that I need 48 hours to recover from a hard workout. I have been working out every day for the past 6 months and trying to get into shape in order to feel fit. I have done weight training, yoga, and spinning classes--but now that my miles are up to 35-40 miles a week, I realize that I only have energy for light x-training. Sometimes my x-training is taking a bike ride with the kids, or cleaning my house. I do lift weights after a workout or do some core work, but no classes. I also stretch quite a bit after a run. I do some yoga stretches, and do my neck exercises. My neck no longer hurts like it used to, and my lower back is peachy. A few months ago I had chronic neck and back pain. Slowly but surely I am pushing through the obstacles that are in my way of running fast and strong.
