I cannot believe how bad I feel after eating like a glutton and skipping a few workouts. Seriously, I don't know how to recover. I am back now for almost a week and I still feel like crap. I am determined to lose 15 lbs. in the next 6 months. The leftover birthday cake hasn't helped my efforts. I am eating pretty well and I'm not taking any caffeine anymore. I was taking about 100mg a day. The trainer on the cruise scolded me about that. He said I need to get used to fueling my workouts with food not caffeine. After a week off of it, I'm thinking I better stick with what was working for me. I feel exhausted! I do have my period, but still, I feel like my legs are lead and I can hardly stay awake. I think I'll talk to Carrie about it on Tues. I have come to my senses and decided to rearrange my schedule in order to hook up with Carrie to run. She will influence me for good. I think she runs a sub-6 minute mile or so. Not too shabby. She's going to help me with my speedwork. Hopefully I won't embarrass myself. I sucked wind today!
3/21 7 miles at a 10--so crazy difficult because of the rough water on the boat!
3/25 8 miles Yassos--Very Successful! Smooth water! Ran 800's at 7:30 and jogged 800 for 8 miles.
3/31 6 miles inc warm up. 2 miles at 8:28 with jogging 800's in-between-then a cool down (exhausted jog).
Apparently, we are on the same period schedule (according to your husband and now from what I have learned on the blog).
ReplyDeleteKeep at it! I'm so proud of you!

No one hates periods like I hate periods! I think we are ALL on the same schedule because we're all on our periods all the time! Working out is extra hard when you're bleeding to death and have cramps & a back ache! It's going to be my first question when I meet God. WHY periods EVERY single month and WHY starting at age 11?! He'll say, "Remember the part about affliction and torment?" I'll say, "Oh. That was such a perfect way! You're brilliant!"
